When it comes to fashion, switching seasons is tricky – here’s our edit of pieces you can buy now, wear now AND wear later.
The heady days of high summer are behind us, but autumn isn’t quite here yet – we’re in fashion No Man’s Land, people. This time of year is always hard to dress for… one day you’re in a strappy sundress and sandals, the next it’s legit sweater weather. Mother Nature, you’re crushing our style vibe!
Luckily, though, we have a few tricks up our sleeve to help you ease into the summer/autumn transition and stay stylish right through winter, too. Just call us your fashion fairy godmother…
The printed shift dress
This cute and quirky shift dress ticks all our style boxes – loose fit, bold print, Millennial Pink. Love it!
Wear it now: go for late summer boho and team with a clashing printed headscarf, leather sandals and a straw bag.
Wear it later: layer up with a block colour polo neck, tights and chunky heeled boots for an autumnal 60s vibe.
The colour block shirt
This mustard yellow, polka printed statement shirt is at the top of our wardrobe wishlist right now – love the ruffled collar and cuffs, too!
Wear it now: roll up the sleeves, unbutton the collar and wear with cut-off denim shorts and classic Vans. Too cute!
Wear it later: dig out your leather mini skirt, add woolly tights and button right up to show off that collar detail. And stick with sneakers on your feet!
The simple midi skirt
A stylish midi skirt is a total wardrobe essential, whatever the season. We love that this black wrapover style can be dressed up or down for the occasion.
Wear it now: pair with your favourite slogan tee, espadrilles and a floppy hat for a look that oozes poolside glam with a touch of modern sass.
Wear it later: this skirt is crying out for an oversized chunky knit – tuck it in at the front to show off the wrapover detail, and go OTT with some statement earrings.
The studded ankle boots
We’re getting all the rock chic feels from these kick-ass boots - that studded detail really gives them the edge!
Wear them now: boots in summer? Sure thing! Just keep your legs bare to balance them out – think denim shorts or a flippy skater skirt paired with a cotton blouse and your biggest sunnies.
Wear them later: these boots will literally go with anything – skinny jeans and a baggy knit, a floral dress and tights, dungarees with a polo neck. We’ll be wearing them all winter, thanks!
The loose cotton trousers
Ok, we know they’re not the MOST exciting… but a good pair of cotton trousers will see you through all seasons, and we’re totally into the androgynous vibes of this deep green pair.
Wear them now: roll ‘em up at the hems, throw on a lightweight shirt and finish off with ballet flats for an easy, breezy workwear look.
Wear them later: we can’t wait to wear these with leather brogues, a pussybow blouse and a wool blazer come autumn. Prim and proper perfection!
